Hello! My name is Nayely Armijos. I’m studying organizational communication and public relations at the USFQ. This summer, I took part in the holiday program RanPiSur. Without any doubt, this was the best experience for me.

In the first week of August, a training course for teens from the district started. Its goal was to teach them the necessary skills for the holiday program. It was led by professionals that passed on their knowledge to the teens to enable them to work with the children and to improve their own every day live. 

Although the corona crisis still had a huge impact on our daily live in the fundacíon, we tried to focus on our main purpose of working with the kids here in Quito: to ensure the fundamental human rights each kid should grow up with. So we actually took over the responsibilities for education and worked as a non-formal school.
