Volunteering for the children’s project “Minadores de Sueños” in Quito, Ecuador

• Required minimum age: 18 years
• Basic language requirement in Spanish. In order to work with the children, the volunteer should feel comfortable in his/her knowledge and use of/understanding and speaking of Spanish, or attend a language course in Quito (see “Preparation before volunteering“, 3. Language School) before starting the volunteer assignment.
• Experience in working with children and/or pursuing a social or educational profession
• Minimum length of stay: 2-3 months, depending on the project assignment
• Ability to function independently in a foreign country with sensitivity to different cultural practices and traditions
• Responsible and reliable
• Respect towards the children and the team
• Initiative and creativity
• Interest and enjoyment of Ecuadorian culture
